Today we are going to look at several good kids movies based on toys. Toys and games are an essential part of a child’s life. Play helps develop their imagination, creativity and even their unique personalities.

In fact, toys are so important to children that some classics have been passed down from one generation to the next. In addition, some toy figures have also inspired the film industry.

1. Trolls, a children’s movie based on toys

These fun and colorful dolls with raised hair are one of the most popular and iconic toy figures from 1990. A fact you may not know, however, is that the figures come all the way from 1959!

They were just as popular back then as they were in the 90s. But that’s not all. Trolls finally made it to the silver screen in 2016 when a movie was made by DreamWorks called  Trolls .

The success of the cinematic version has made the Trolls dolls a favorite among the kids again. And of course to buy all items in the store with the Trolls issues such as school supplies and clothes.

Let’s face it, who doesn’t love these great characters? After all, their favorite pastime is dancing, singing and cuddling! If you and your kids are their fans, then we have good news. There’s a rumor going around that a Trolls sequel is  hitting theaters! Oh, and you can watch the  Trolls cartoon series on Netflix too!

2. The Lego Movie

When we talk about classic, traditional toys, we can’t forget Lego nature view. It doesn’t matter how old you are, whether you’re a child or an adult, Lego remains tempting. Lego started out as a few building blocks, but today it’s a whole world for kids – and adults alike – to explore.

Lego offers endless options when it comes to construction, fantasy and innovation. From castles to skyscrapers, from spaceships to miniature versions of national monuments… You can make anything you can imagine.

Since the toy is a huge success, it came as no surprise that The Lego Movie from 2014 was a huge success. The film made about $500 million in profit.  We recommend that you enjoy this movie and its different characters with your whole family.

3. Playmobil: The Movie

Third on our list of toys based movies we have Playmobil: The Movie . Above we said that Lego is one of the most famous toys, but Lego has to share this place with Playmobil. The evolution of these dolls and their accessories is as good as the spaces that come with them… A farm, a shopping center, an airplane, a hospital, a pirate ship, and much more.

Film directors saw another opportunity to capture the attention of today’s children, as well as their predecessors. Animation Studios released the film earlier last year, and the voices are provided by Daniel Radcliffe and Meghan Trainor, among others.

4. Bratz

If you were a kid or an adolescent around 2000, you definitely know what Bratz dolls are. These dolls immediately became a favorite of many children after they were released in 2001. Kids were fascinated by the ability to collect each doll, their clothes, and even their vehicles.

Bratz dolls are very similar to Barbie dolls, but are more daring. Their success has led to the production of several animated films starring the Bratz dolls. In addition, in response to the success of the animated films in 2007, the producers also made a live action.

5. Barbie, another toy based movie

Another classic that many generations have played with is without a doubt Barbie. The collection of these iconic dolls consists of almost 40 films. The first Barbie in the Nutcracker movie  came out in 2001 thanks to Mainframe Entertainment.

However, these films never made it to theaters. They were instead produced immediately for VHS and then for DVD. You may now be wondering how the most famous doll never had a movie in theaters with her name on it. Fortunately, that is now changing. This year Barbie will have her own movie featuring real actors and actresses. And we can’t wait to see it!

6. Transformers

These fantastic robots that can change in seconds have been a hit with kids since 1980. In 2007, however, the characters were only seen on the big screen. And of course this was a great success. Since then, 5 more movies have been produced with these heroic robots which have been shown in the cinema.

So, whether your kids are fans of these classic toy characters or you’re just feeling nostalgic, don’t delay watching these toy-based movies!
