1. Aromatic Herbs and Spices

2. Castor Oil

It is understandable that you are afraid to consume some of these foods. Myths about castor oil are outdated.  This oil is produced from a poisonous seed, but has  medicinal properties.  

It is believed that castor oil can trigger childbirth. It is able to make the intestines contract. This causes cramps in the uterus, which can trigger labor.

However, it is not recommended to take castor oil. You can use it to massage your stomach.

3. Spicy spicy foods

Spicy spicy foods are not recommended during pregnancy as they are associated with heartburn  and other gastrointestinal complications.

Although it is included in the list of foods that could induce labor, there is no evidence that it actually works. 

4. Pineapple

Is this food that can induce labour? This fruit has many different properties.  Judging by multiple mothers, this can speed up labor. The assumption is that the enzyme bromelain, which is present in fresh pineapple,  is able to soften the cervix.  

And while this is true, the amount of bromelain in pineapples is very low. You would have to eat large amounts of fruit to notice this.

5. Raspberry Leaves

The use of raspberry leaves is common in the preparation of relaxing teas.  This means that the relaxing effect may help reduce stress levels during the end of your pregnancy. Perhaps this relaxation even reaches the womb.

6. Garlic

This, along with the aromatic herbs mentioned earlier, can move the fetus to the right place just before delivery. Eating enough garlic could trigger labor, but this too has never been proven.

7. A plant called black cohosh

It is not a common plant, but this North American plant is often used in the form of tea. Strong contractions should be provoked when drinking black cohosh tea.

There is no scientific evidence for this, so it is advisable to take precautions  and keep in constant contact with your doctor.

In general, alternative medicines are not recommended for pregnant women. That’s why it’s a good idea to keep short lines of communication with specialists and not take unnecessary risks. 

The decision to use this food to induce labor is a personal one for everyone. But we recommend sticking to the diet, which is certain to be safe.

For example in the case of the pineapple. It is almost impossible to eat too much of this. It is better to consume other products such as chocolate in smaller quantities.

However, it is important not to risk your health and that of your baby.  Childbirth will come naturally. Relax and wait for that.
